Attention Gwent-aholics: your new obsession has arrived. earlier in the month, The Witcher 3's card game is getting its own standalone game, with a beta coming first to Xbox One and Windows PC in September.
For those who aren't familiar with the card game, the idea is that you and your opponent both get ten cards at the start of your turn, and those are the only cards you get in order to win two out of three rounds. Of course, different cards can break those rules, getting you more cards, allowing you to ruin the other player's attacks, and implement other strategies based on your deck's build and your faction's abilities.
Gwent: The Card Game will allow Xbox and PC players to compete against each other, as well as partake in a special single-player campaign crafted exclusively for this standalone game. You'll be able to win and craft cards in order to customize your own decks.
If you're interested, you can head to to register for access to the beta, which will be coming first on Xbox One and PC.
