You won't need to own Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare to go to space in its virtual reality spinoff. Activision has confirmed that the Jackal Assault VR Experience will be a free download for all PlayStation VR owners as soon as the main game is released on Friday. Only on PS4, obviously.

The Jackal Assault VR Experience lets you fly the eponymous space fighter from the main campaign like you're actually in the cockpit. A PlayStation VR is required; there's no non-VR mode if you just want to try Infinite Warfare's space combat. But hey, it's free, and it only needs 1.5GB of space to install.
