Bethesda has announced that the Doom open beta will commence on April 15. The open beta will start at 9 AM PST/12 AM EST on April 15 and end on 8:59 PM PST/11:59 PM EST on April 17. The open beta will include Team Deathmatch and Warpath game modes on two maps: Heatwave and Infernal. That's only two of the six game modes and two of the nine maps available in the final game.

"These maps and modes are just a fraction of what players will experience when the game launches May 13," the publisher said in a statement to GameSpot. Bethesda and id Software are also hoping you'll want to pick up some of the premium DLC multiplayer packs, either separately or in a season pass. The DLC packs will cost $14.99 each, or players can buy the season pass for $39.99. The first DLC pack will contain:

Doom launches on May 13 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Steam.
