As much fun as the MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptuna VS Zombies single player campaign is, hopping online for some multiplayer antics is just as entertaining. In fact, under the right circumstances, it can feel like that’s the way the PlayStation Vita game is meant to be played. That solo adventure? That’s there to help you earn some extra cash and learn the basics. Experiencing battles with others is where its at.
The key is to make sure you’re ready before investing time in the multiplayer mode. I recommended going through a bit of the campaign before jumping right into MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptuna VS Zombies’ ad-hoc or online endeavors. It ensures you’ll be a more courteous companion, perhaps with better support characters or character equipment. The first time I played, it was evident my randomly matched companion was more experienced than I was, and I felt like I was letting that person down during the boss fight we experienced.
You should also look into a server that’s going to have people actually playing on it. When you choose the online multiplayer option, you can choose between the Hyper, Ultra, Mega, Heart, and Zero Dimensions. I’ve had the most luck finding matches in the Hyper Dimension and Zero Dimension areas. Your experience might not be the same, but going for the first option that appears is a pretty good idea.
Making sure you use the chat function turned is of the utmost importance as well. Talk to people before a match. Like Megadimension Neptunia VII, the bosses in MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptuna VS Zombies have parts that can be destroyed to make them more susceptible to attacks. The thing is, only certain kinds of attacks are effective against these parts. You’ll want to communicate to make sure each person uses a character with a different sort of attack. Though the preset options are meager, you can tell people what character you’re going to use, so they can then plan accordingly.
For example, it’s pretty wise to always have one slash type and one blunt type attacker in your party. Blanc will likely be your strongest blunt attacker at the outset. Surprisingly, Dengekiko is has one of the base slash attack stats. From there, you can decide if you’d like the other two members in your party should be ranged, piercing, or magic using attackers. Vert is one of the strongest pierce type character, Uni is the strongest ranged fighter, and Ram is the strongest magic user. Naturally, equipment influences these stats, so you can make a character you like more the best fit for the situation.
Keeping an eye on your allies in battle is perhaps the most important part of a successful MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptuna VS Zombies multiplayer run. It’s easy to get caught up in combination attacks. Performing a relentless assault is the best. But, you might be working with someone who isn’t as experience. If it’s a boss fight, someone could end up being the foe’s primary target. A mission can be lost if every character falls. While there is an automatic revival system, keep an eye on your allies during more challenging quests. You can always use EXE Cure when standing over a fallen friend to immediately revive them. It’s always best to be safe, even more so when you end up working with only one other person.
Be personable when playing MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptuna VS Zombies with other players online. This is a great game and, even though the enemies look comical, some can catch you off guard with surprising strength or overwhelming numbers. Make sure you have a balanced team prepared before heading out on a quest, using preset chat options to make sure you have different types of characters to anticipate enemy weaknesses. Look out for each other. Keep the goddesses you use most up to date, so the other players don’t have to carry you. Being courteous when you play will help you earn the levels, money, and rewards you crave.
MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptuna VS Zombies is immediately available for the PlayStation Vita in North America. It will come to Europe on May 13, 2016.
