Kratos isn't the only G of war coming

Yesterday, we reported that some concept art for God of War 4 was allegedly leaked. Today, we've got news on another G of war. Announced at E3 2015, Gears of War 4 is finally upon us. As promised at the unveiling, the title is still on track for a holiday 2016 release. In fact, the latest Gears of War will be hitting just before the holiday rush in November. Prepare yourselves for war as the gears start turning on Xbox One systems October 11.

Yes, Gears fans have six more months to go before they can enjoy the latest game in the franchise for real. If you just can't wait that long, Microsoft is rolling out a beta test starting April 18 for Xbox One gamers who have played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. If you haven't played Ultimate Edition online yet, you have until April 11 at 11 PM PDT to do so in order to qualify. All Xbox Live Gold members will be able to join the multiplayer beta starting April 25, so it's mainly a question of how long you're willing to wait to try out Gears 4.

Gears of War 4 starts a new saga following the adventures of Marcus Fenix's son, JD. A new team of heroes must come together to fight off a new threat, as the Unreal Engine 4 powered game looks to carve itself a place into the hearts of Gears of War fans. The war will begin October 11 for Xbox One, but basic training will open up in the form of a multiplayer beta starting April 18.
