By the looks of the 1.20 patch notes for The Witcher 3, CD Projekt Red have been concentrating on quality of life improvements for this update. According to the company’s twitter account, this patch will appear “before Blood and Wine”. That puts its release anywhere ahead of 31 May.
In terms of what patch 1.20 adds and changes in The Witcher 3, well, it’s … quite a lot. There’ll be a ‘Miraculous Guide to Gwent’ book, which will help complete a player’s card collection by listing the missing ones and providing information on where they’re available. The patch will also add an ‘enemy upscaling’ toggle that you can employ to give foes a boost in quests you’re overlevelled for (rewards and experience point gains will be the same).
There are a host of UI and inventory tweaks and improvements on the way too, all of which you can study below. Look out for the extremely important change “Fixes issue whereby Geralt’s clothing was not properly restored after sex scenes.”
