No Man's Sky PC graphics settings revealed

The game actually comes out on PC in an hour or so (at the time of writing), but just ahead of that the graphics settings for No Man’s Sky have been shown by Nvidia. It was already known that the PC release would have a pair of FOV options (for on foot and in flight); now the rest of the options are in view.

It’s not possible to see everything in a static image of course (for example, FXAA is shown as an Anti-Aliasing option, it’s not clear if other AA methods are included), but the menu shot posted below gives a reasonable overview of what to expect. ‘Generational Detail’ is described by Nvidia as “the image quality of the randomly-generated terrain and objects”, if you’re wondering about that one. It’ll be interesting to see how much the PC version can minimise ‘pop-in’ of textures when landing on planets.

In a second menu image, it’s shown that keys can be redefined and rebound to other values. And, just for good measure, Nvidia took a few pretty screenshots at 4K. You can click through for larger versions of all these.
